[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide insurance agency broker service for property insurance to the government authority located in Bentonville, AR.
- Larger losses to the city’s property and infrastructure as well as potential business interruption and extra expense costs that might arise from the city’s loss exposures.
- Losses from legal liability claims and suits.
- Other losses regarding property and infrastructure.
- Assist in the development of short and long-range goals and strategies, including making projections of potential savings.
- Identification and analysis of risks arising out of current and future operations.
- Monitor, review and present data to help manage claims on all current and future policies.
- Continuous review and analysis of insurance coverage and policies to keep up with industry changes, continuing operations and growth.
- Research and analysis of alternatives to meet the changing needs of the city.
- Consult as to the probable impact of strategies elected by the city.
- Analyze existing coverage and identify or develop cost and saving alternative benefit strategies and plans.
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing experience trends and providing timely alerts on changing patterns and appropriate recommendations.
- Recommendations and assistance in the procurement of property insurance coverage, including preparation of any required RFQ’s and development of coverage specifications.
- Evaluate bids and bidders, including administration, coverage, claim payment procedures, customer service, networks, reserve establishment policies and financial solvency.
- Analysis of proposals in connection with the insurance procurement, including, but not limited to, establishing selection criteria, recommending marketplaces, evaluation of proposals and involvement in the selection process.
- Negotiate with underwriters on behalf of the city and obtain insurance coverages that best meet the city’s needs and requirements at the best value, while also advising on the carrier’s operation, claims handling, and related services.
- Verify that new policies, binders, endorsements and other documents are accurate and reflect the terms and conditions agreed during negotiations. Provide copies to the city in a timely manner.
- Coordinate, attend, and participate in carrier loss control surveys and underwriter visits.
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than April 5, 2022.
