Government Authority located in Little Rock, Arkansas; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for IT network and security consultant services.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide IT network and security consultant services to the government authority located in Little Rock, AR.
Network:
- Provide thorough analysis of the structure of agency network, including an inventory and network map, Hyper-V performance, and general operations. Evaluate agency backup and disaster recovery processes, providing recommendations based on best practice where applicable. Determine if power needs are being sufficiently met, and if equipment should be merged or relocated based on IT security, maintenance, and best practice. Evaluate storage needs and practices, providing recommendations as needed based on best practices. Provide a report noting where improvements and efficiencies can be made ranging from critical, short term and long term as it relates to equipment and processes. Provide recommendations based on best practices where applicable.
- Evaluate the efficiencies of the agency working environment and assist in determining the best and most efficient working environment going forward that would allow employees to achieve the most productivity. Currently agency has a blended physical and virtual environment, with both physical and virtual servers and physical and virtual desktops. Emphasis to be placed on optimization and increased efficiencies surrounding virtual workstations.
- Evaluate agency maintenance and update routines and assist in updating for best practices where applicable.
- Determine if equipment in place is sufficient to address the needs of the organization, being mindful of the needs to our customers and accounting for the need for growth and efficiency.
- Provide a report on the future needs and trends as it relates to network equipment and structure for the next five years.
- Evaluate overall staff competencies and skill sets, noting where additional training or layering in of additional skill sets may be required. Due to small staff size, recommend where cross training and segregation of duties should be achieved.
2. Security:
- Evaluate overall network security and make recommendations, based on best practices. Evaluation may include penetration testing, evaluation of processes and recommendations for frequency for security patches and updates, etc.
- Evaluate agency maintenance and update routines and assist in updating for best practices where applicable.
- Identify weaknesses in overall security whether it be within the network or related to matters outside the network and provide recommendations, as appropriate.
- Provide a report on the future needs and trends as it relates to network security for the next three to five years.
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than April 21, 2021.
(3) Contract term will be five years.
