[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide ombudsman program service to enhance the quality of life for older adults in long-term care facilities and preserve the civil and human rights of residents in these facilities to the government authority located in Los Angeles, CA.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve complaints that are made by or on behalf of residents in long term care facilities that adversely affect the health, safety, welfare, or rights of the residents
- Provide activities that focus on enhancing and increasing systemic advocacy, outreach and marketing of the long-term care ombudsman program, increasing the number of volunteers and facilitating the coordination of the efforts of the community, including those of the area agency on aging, in assisting the long-term care ombudsman program
- Inform residents about obtaining supportive social services
- Ensure residents of regular and timely access to Ombudsman services, including
consultations to individuals
- Represent residents before government agencies and seek administrative, legal and other remedies to protect the health, safety, welfare, and rights of the residents
- Review existing and proposed laws, regulations, and governmental policies that
pertain to rights of residents, and provide consultations to facilities
- Facilitate the ability of the public to comment on the laws, regulations, policies, and actions
- Support the creation of resident and family councils and attend meetings
(2) A mandatory Conference will be held on November 7, 2018.
(3) Contract period will be for one year.

[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
