(1) Vendor needs to provide alligator study service to the government authority located in Little Rock, AR.– A comparison of population estimates generated using alternative survey methodologies compared to our current survey methods would be beneficial in assessing if current survey methods are sufficient to accurately estimate populations on a yearly basis.– Primary research objectives:– Compare alligator population estimates and detection probabilities by habitat type generated using current agency survey and population calculation methods compared with estimates generated using alternative survey methodologies to determine if current methods provide accurate population estimates of the harvestable population.– Study area and time frame:– Primary area of focus for this research should be within harvestable areas, but additional surveys within alligator management zones 4 and 5 will be necessary to obtain statewide population estimates as well as to document any northward range expansions that may be occurring.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than February 21, 2025. (3) The contract period will be for two years.
