Project Title: Outfall Design and NPDES Permit Modification for NPDES permit AR0049352Location: Stuttgart National Aquaculture Research Center2955 Hwy 130 East, Almyra, AR 22003Project Description:The USDA ARS SNARC is in need of discharge design modifications to better comply with monitoring parameters in NPDES permit AR0049352 while still meeting the operations needs of the facility. The project will consist of three main components:Evaluate current outfall, redesign and develop plans to separate the currently permitted sanitary and aquaculture process outfalls.Design an EPA compliant disinfection process for the separated sanitary and process outfalls meeting the facilities needs and regulatory requirements.Modify the existing National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit to reflect the new outfall designs
