(1) Vendor needs to provide peer recovery specialist in acute care to the government authority located in Little Rock, AR.– Provide peer recovery support services in acute care facilities.– Provide quarterly data to the Department of in monthly meetings to increase statewide collaboration and track progress and completion of requirements.– Each awardee will hire one peer recovery support specialist, peer recovery support specialist that is certified in peer recovery support through the department, division of aging, adult, and behavioral health services.– Develop and implement at least one training on substance use disorder specifying how to screen for substance use disorder, what a peer recovery support specialist is, services a peer recovery support specialist provides, when to refer a patient to the peer recovery support specialist, and identifying stigma in the healthcare system.– Develop a protocol on when to refer a patient to the peer recovery support specialist including post–overdose scenarios to also incorporate strategies like focused connections during care for conditions that may represent sequelae of substance use and enhanced universal screening for substance use disorder among patients presenting for other reasons to identify new opportunities to engage in and link to care.(2) The contract period will be for one year.
